The Sensory Nexus^SM was founded in October of 1999 in order to establish the first worldwide Internet discussion forum devoted exclusively to sensory science and its applications. The discussion form has grown from a handful of members at its inception to over 1,300.

In order to provide additional services to the global community, this web site was established and has been expanded to meet various needs, such as a FAQ, a job ad area, short articles and opinion pieces, course and seminar listings, and an archive of documents.
